Heather R. Ettinger

Heather Ettinger has more than 25 year experience in the financial services industry and has held leadership roles in client acquisition and service as well as operations and strategic planning. As Managing Partner of Fairport Asset Management, Heather specializes in helping clients and their families create strategic financial plans to guide them through life transitions, such as the loss of a spouse, divorce, selling a business, retirement and job changes. In 2008, Wealth Management magazine named Heather one of the Top 50 Distinguished Women in Wealth Management.

Ms. Ettinger is widely recognized for her unique expertise, experience and dedication to helping other women build their financial acumen and wealth, both in her professional practice and community involvement. Most recently, she co-authored a study of over 550 women in 44 states entitled “Women of Wealth: Why Does the Financial Services Industry Still Not Hear Them?” Heather has been featured in many publications including the Wall Street Journal, Investment News, Barrons, and Bloomberg. Recognized as an expert in the unique needs of female clients, Ms. Ettinger most recent national speaking engagements cover “She-Change: Women as Agents of Change in the Family, Business and Society and Its Impact on the Financial Services Industry.” As a member of the nationally recognized wealth management study group, Family Wealth Advisors Council, Ms. Ettinger participates actively in thought leadership around wealth management.

After serving on many boards, Heather remains an ardent supporter of her alma maters including Dartmouth College, where she earned a B.A., and Laurel School, where she served on the Board of Directors for 12 years, including four years as President. Current board engagements include University Hospital Health Systems and the Sisters of Charity Foundation. She is also active with In Counsel with Women, an organization for the top female leaders in Cleveland, and is a member of 50 Club and Leadership Cleveland. Heather also sits on the Board of The Private Trust Company and Asurint-One Source Technology.

Recognized for her deep commitment to the community and the advancement of women and girls, Ms. Ettinger has received several awards. Those of which she is most proud include Women’s Community Foundation “Creative Philanthropy Award,” Crain’s Cleveland Business “Women of Influence, “The YWCA Women of Achievement, Laurel School Distinguished Alumna and the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland’s Exceptional Service Award.

Heather lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys playing ice hockey, snow skiing and cycling.
