KRISTINE M. PORCARO

Kristine has spent the past 25 years helping people make life decisions about their money. She helps clients navigate the often scary, confusing and emotionally-charged world of investing. Kristine leads the firm and works directly with many clients alongside the Lexington Wealth team to help ensure their goals are met, even if they sometimes are conflicting.

Kristine is ready to address the emotional side of her clients’ lives and how it fits into financial decisions. Her personal life experiences continually add to this perspective and her passion for the business. She is an entrepreneur, a mom, and has been a caregiver for an ailing parent—navigating the confusing world of long-term care and assisted living—all of which contribute to her understanding of clients’ challenges as individuals, not just investors.

In January 2017, she created a quarterly Empower Women Series for women to come to a welcoming setting, hear about relevant topics, ask the questions they have never asked and be empowered.

Her style and knowledge have earned annual recognition from Boston Magazine as a Five Star Wealth Manager from 2012-2024. She was ranked as one of the Top 50 Owned Women RIAs in the Country (2013), a Top Adviser by Reuters Advice Point (2008) and one of Worth’s Top 250 Wealth Advisors (2008). Kristine was also an Honorable Mention on the list of Top Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts (2013).

After founding Lexington Advisors, she merged with Michael Tucci to form Lexington Wealth Management in 2000. In 2019 they merged the firm into Hightower Advisors to provide additional resources and services to their clients. “Joining Hightower has been a rewarding experience for both us and our clients, empowering us to dedicate even more time to what we’re most passionate about—serving our clients.”

Prior to co-founding the practice, she spent six years managing an advisory division of a regional brokerage firm. A graduate of the University of Lowell, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing, Kristine also participated in Northeastern University’s Certified Financial Planning program. She also completed the Kinder Institute of Life Planning’s Seven Stages of Money Maturity course.

Kristine is a current member of the Family Wealth Advisory Council. She has been involved in groups like the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). She has spoken about financial literacy at the United Teen Equality Center (UTEC), which serves proven-risk youth from both Lowell and Lawrence, MA. In addition, Kristine was a former an advisory board member for Charles Schwab.

Kristine donates her time to other boards, such as the Mount Washington Valley Ski team and the Cranmore Race Team. She is also a supporter of the Appalachian Mountain Club. Kristine almost never rests—her grandmother said, “sleep when you die,” so she remains active with her husband and two daughters, hikes with her dogs, skis wherever she finds snow, cooks meals from scratch, and travels with family and friends.

Kristine is available to speak or share insights with media and has provided commentary and insight to InvestmentNewsFinancial AdvisorInvestment Advisor and other outlets.

If I can help my clients get through tough decisions, it makes me happy! I am proud every day knowing I help people through emotional times. Helping with their money in a way that allows them to enjoy their lives and have confidence in their future at the same time.
